Book Now and Pay Later

Parents can now be allowed to pay for bookings later.

Events, clubs and wraparound child care bookings can now be set up to allow some or all parents to pay for their bookings later. This is particularly helpful for parents who want to book months worth of childcare but pay the cost off in monthly installments, or using child care ouchers that they do not have yet but are expecting, or where they simply want to pay later for what they are booking at the time.

Schools can turn this feature on when creating or editing their events, clubs or wraparpounds, and can then set up which parents are eligible to use Book Now and Pay Later, and later can set a credit limit, so that this feature is used by the correct parents and cannot be abused.

Schools can easily see what debt each parent owes and apply vouchers (universal credit child care vouchers or tax-free child care), or create refunds, apply credit or chase for payment, for example where a school is set a list of payments received for parent vouchers, or similar.

At the end of each month, parents are sent an email which details the money that is owed, and at any time parents can login to Parents Booking and make a payment towards their balance.

Each transaction has an invoice (or credit note) which parents can download or print, and schools can consolidate payments made using a Finance page in their admin area.

A Debtors page in the school's admin area monitors the total debt owed to the school by parents, and allows admin users to review a parent's transactions, apply vouchers, apply credit notes and action any refunds.
