Since April 2025, the UK Government has been piloting free breakfast club sessions, for 30 minute every day, for student at 750 English primary schools. This pilot is expected to be rolled out nationally, to all English primary schools, during academic year 2025/26.
Parents Booking will take away the pain of organising your school's wraparound child care, from the bookings to the attendance (which will almost certainly be different each day) to parent payments, making their management even simpler than you can imagine.
Our solution is simple - whether your school presently uses Parents Booking or not, schools can create a wraparound childcare club in seconds, firstly by selecting the dates it is available, and then creating the sessions that parents can book (for example every Monday-Friday from September to December, with a 7-9am and 8-9am session priced at different amounts). Next, block out any dates which are unavailable within that range, choose a maximum capacity for each day and finally set up any advanced pricing or discounts you want to provide. In just a few clicks, parents will have been sent invites to login (using a magic login link, meaning no username/password) and make their bookings.
Clubs which require payment can be paid for instantly through our payment gateway, or by using childcare or similar vouchers which are authorised by your school. Where allowed, selected parents can even choose to book now and pay later.
For schools and local authorities that already use Parents Booking, the wraparound childcare booking features are shown in the same web pages as the parents' evenings, events and clubs that parents already use, meaning parents will be familiar with how to login to and book. That familiarity and trust will be of great benefit.
For schools and local authorities who want to use Parents Booking's wraparound childcare booking functionality only, Parents Booking will only show these features to users. All other booking modules (e.g. parents' evenings) are hidden.
