Autumn 2026 Product Update

It's a pleasure to bring you news of these great new features:

• The parent login page has had a facelift, and looks more modern and welcoming now, while still being every bit as easy to login through.
• The "Show Teacher Availability" has had a big update. You can now click times to block or make appointments, drag breaks from the sides, and zoom to see more detail. The web page loads much faster, looks better and will be more helpful than the past version.
• Checkout page now has a 15-minute timer, so that parents know they have to pay within that time or their bookings will be released (auto-deleted). 
• Mark students attending wraparound as "collected" as well. You can record who collected the student and at what time, optionally, as well. 
• Download wraparound club attendance via a new button on the Manage Attendance page.
• Admins can now hide parents' evenings from parents (the same way they can hide events/clubs/wraparounds) and we've made it more obvious what is currently hidden from parents to Admins using the Dashboard web page.

Bug fixes / subtle changes:

• Xporter sync now uses its Leavers API to check for leavers, meaning leaver searching should be even better going forward.
• The Wonde and Xporter syncs' overnight "check for changes?" logic has been updated and will work even more reliably.
• The feature that turns off the conflict warning was still warning about clashes for wraparound clubs, so this warning will now no longer be shown when the feature is turned off.
• We fixed a bug with the counter on a teachers' schedule, which shows how many appointment slots are available.
• We fixed a bug that made questions disappear from events/clubs after they were edited.
• We fixed a bug where some data imports were leaving some teachers with blank subjects, which was causing these teachers problems logging in.
• Upgraded all iSAMS API users to their newer OAuth requirement, and we've upgraded how the logic works where a student has no parents, so that foster parents and/or other relatives are more reliably imported instead, where they should be.

What's next?

Every day our software developers work on new features for Parents Booking. You can expect the below features to appear in future software releases:

• The Create/Edit Parents' Evening, Edit the Teachers, Teacher Schedule and Create/Edit/Clone Event/Club/Trip web pages are all going to have big UI/UX upgrades applied over the next month.
• Three new finance reports (payment allocation, creditors, and related finance statements)
• Two-Phase Booking features for wraparound child care clubs.
• Allow schools that use Xporter to import pre-admission students.
• Schools will archive student, parent and teacher records, rather than hard-delete these, soon, preserving records for longer when there's a legal requirement to do so.
• We'll allow clubs/trips to take payment in instalments, like we do with wraparound clubs. We'll also allow special pricing rules to be set up for these.
• A customisable, download-able receipt for Universal Credit users who need to show what they have paid.
